Nate Webb, chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin, Oklahoma’s governor-elect, is joining Capitol Gains in Oklahoma City. The firm is described as “a full-service government relations firm representing clients at the Oklahoma Capitol.”

In a statement sent to CapitolBeatOK, Bobby Stem, founder and senior partner of Capitol Gains, said: “We are excited about the insight and expertise that Nate brings to the firm. His understanding of federal issues and processes brings a whole new skill set to Capitol Gains.”

Webb will start in January. He has worked as chief of staff for Congresswoman Fallin since 2007. He also served as Fallin’s chief of staff from 2003 to 2006 while she was Oklahoma’s lieutenant governor.

“Nate Webb has been a tremendous chief of staff and a skilled and dedicated communications director before that,” Fallin said. “It has been a pleasure to have him on my staff. I’m happy that he has chosen to continue his work in public policy, and I am sure his work ethic, expertise and loyalty will continue to serve him well.”

Webb has worked in communications roles for Devon Energy and for a number of political campaigns. He served as managing editor, news director, reporter and anchor for news outlets in Oklahoma, Florida and Maine. Webb has degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Maine. He served in the Navy from 1975 to 1977.

Webb said he is excited to bring his background in state and federal government to use in the private sector: “Capitol Gains has a history of supporting good legislation that has helped create the pro-jobs environment found in Oklahoma. We’re about to enter an exciting new chapter in the story of Oklahoma, and my family and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of it.” More information is available at: www.capitol-gains.com.
